August 25, 2022: representatives of Taganrog's Byelorussian Community took part in the 7th International Ethnocultural Festival "Call of Polesye", held in Lyaskovychi, Gomel Oblast, Belarus.
The event was designed to ensure the preservation and promotion of Polesye region's cultural heritage. "Call of Polesye" gathered an audience of over 5,000 people.
Music bands from Taganrog "Zorachki", "Lastauki", and "Bereginya" sang songs in Russian and Byelorussian languages, wearing colorful traditional outfits. After the performance, musicians received certificates of participation and souvenirs.
The participation of Taganrog bands was supported by Public Relations Depatment of Taganrog Local Government and Presidential Cultural Initiatives Fund.
Earlier, in June 2022, national cultural society "Byelorussians of Taganrog" organized the festival
"Music of Our Hearts".
