August 24, 2023: the 1st All-Russian youth IT forum "FEATURE" kicked off in the city, in line with the ideas set by "Taganrog - the IT Capital of Russia" project. The forum brought together about 500 junior developers, IT specialists, game designers, cybersportsmen and students from all over Russia.

Taganrog City Manager Andrey Fateyev and Rostov Oblast Governor Vasily Golubev initiated the welcome ceremony. Before the opening, they visited the Engineering and Technology Academy of Southern Federal University. Recently, there have been opened nine laboratories in collaboration with IT companies.


"Taganrog claims the title of IT capital, because this city leads in the amount of IT specialists per capita in Russia. That is why today's forum is being held here, in Taganrog," said Vasily Golubev.

Provisional stalls were mounted in October Square (Oktyabrskaya Square). During the forum, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, round tables, etc. will be held there.


The partners of the forum presented some of their project on the opening day. For example, "Neurotech", which is a scientific and medical company, demonstrated the operation of equipment for the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal system using wireless sensors.

The 1st All-Russian youth IT forum "FEATURE" is open to visitors until August 26.
