April 29, 2025: the 2nd stage of the 2025 Russian Sailing Cup and the 1st stage of the Commonwealth of Independent States Open Cup took place in the city of Sochi on April 22-28. A total of 194 athletes from 12 regions of Russia and from Belarus competed in 9 yachting categories.
The games brought together both seasoned pros and young talents. The best athletes in the Olympic categories went full force in order to be selected for the Russia national team.
Despite such complications as frequent rains and feeble wind, Alisa Yeschenko, an athlete from Taganrog, won gold at the 2025 Russian Sailing Cup and silver at the Commonwealth of Independent States Open Cup, both in the Laser Radial category.
We congratulate Alisa Yeschenko and her coach Vadim Mekhanikov and wish them every success in their further career, as well as new victories and major achievements.
