July 30, 2024: the 3rd stage of the 2024 Russian Sailing Cup and the 2nd stage of the Commonwealth of Independent States Open Cup took place in the city of Saint Petersburg on July 22-29. A total of 171 athletes from eight regions of Russia and from Belarus competed in the 29er, the 470, men's 49er, women's 49er FX, iQFoil, women's Laser Radial, men's Laser Standard, and the Nacra 17 categories.
The competitors spent the first two days on the shore waiting for the wind, languishing in the heat. The real racing started near the end of the competition. As a result, Alisa Yeschenko, an athlete from Taganrog, won a bronze medal in the Laser Radial category.
We congratulate Alisa Yeschenko and her coach Vadim Mekhanikov and wish them every success in their further career, as well as new victories and major achievements.
Most recently, she won
a silver medal in the 1st stage of 2024 Russian Sailing Cup and a
bronze medal in the first stage of the All-Russian Sailing Championships.
