October 12, 2017: Mr. Alexander Amerkhanov - President of
Taganrog Interregional Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TICCI) and Chairman of IBSC Business Council to represent the city of Taganrog at the events dedicated to 25th Anniversary of the
International Black Sea Club (IBSC), held in the city of Galati, Romania. Today this organization unites 30 cities from ten countries of the Black Sea and Mediterranean basin.
An enlarged session of the IBSC Board was held, where Mr. Amerkhanov read out the statement to participants of the 25th forum signed by the President of
Taganrog City Council and City Executive Inna Titarenko.
"The foundation of IBSC in December 1992 was a milestone event that began the integration process and strengthening of business cooperation between the port cities of the Black Sea area. Over the years, International Black Sea Club proved itself to be a credible organization with an effective platform of dialogue, acting to promote social and economic progress of Black Sea area countries and their interaction...I sincerely hope that the International Black Sea Club maintains its current level of integration in new political and economic realities, finding new forms of cooperation and exploring new horizons of mutually beneficial cooperation." — is stated in the congratulatory message of the Taganrog City Executive.
The floor was also given to Mr. Ionut Pucheanu - mayor of Galati and President of IBSC, Mr. Ionut Mocanu - IBSC Executive director, Mr. Mihail Kulikov - IBSC Secretary General (Varna, Bulgaria).
The participants of the session established a new commission to produce proposals into the new edition of
IBSC statute and discussed the outstanding issues of the organization. It was decided to hold the next IBSC assembly in June, 2018 in the city of Constanza, Romania.
Representatives from the cities of Azov and Rostov on Don also participated in the IBSC Board meeting.
