May 13, 2022: today Shandong Province, China hosted the 2022 Global Youth Conference. At the invitation of Jining Peoples' Government and Jining Foreign Affairs Office, Dean of the Foreign Languages Dept., Acting Head of the English Language Chair, lecturers and students of Taganrog Chekhov Teachers College and students of Taganrog Institute of Management and Economy joined the conference online.


Over 5000 persons, including representatives of various international organizations, took part in the conference, mainly online. The officials of Peoples' Republic of China were represented by Ms. Li Bin, Vice Chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Mr. Li Ganjie, Secretary of Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, and Mr. Zhou Naixiang, Governor of Shandong and Vice Secretary of Shandong Provincial Committee of the CPPCC. Among online speakers were some heads of states, including Taneti Maamau, President of the Republic of Kiribati and Aleksandar Vucic, President of the Republic of Serbia. Russian Federation was represented by Artyom Semenov, Vice-chairman of the Interregional Council of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development.


The program of 2022 Global Youth Conference featured an opening ceremony, primary forum, an international youth art exhibition and a number of other events. The primary forum focused on such topics as global economic changes, new models of state development in the post-pandemic period, international economic trends, modern business models, technological innovations, and modernization in the context of the digital economy globalization.
